Founded by husband and wife Paul Herrera and Kaori Toda, 

Anima Concordia specializes in the baroque violin repertoire of the 18th century. 

Paul and Kaori met in 1993 in the Netherlands, at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague.

Since then, they have performed in many prestigious venues across Europe, the US, South America and Japan, earning the highest admiration from audiences, including the Japanese royal family.
Internationally recognized as one of the leading Duo-violinists, their recording of the Jean-Marie Leclair Sonatas for Two Violins, Op.3 and Op.12, has been acclaimed by music critics and audiences alike.
They have concertized extensively around the world with many ensembles and orchestras, and have appeared on dozens of other recordings, collaborating with well known artists, including The Kuijken brothers, John Elliot Gardiner, Andreas Scholl, La Petite Bande, the European Union Baroque Orchestra, Collegium Vocale, Bach Collegium Japan, Michaelstein Telemann Chamber Orchestra, Jos van Immerseel and the Ricercare Consort.
The duo share a love for teaching which brings them to major music festivals and seminars, as well as universities including the Toho Gakuen University and the Tokyo University of the Arts.
